This will help visitors to the area find the best places to go and might even provide some inspiration for us locals too. A fantastic day out for all the family, beautiful house and gardens and a fun play areas for the kids with an adventure playground with aerial rope walks, giant slides and a life-size pirate galleon. From late  April to eraly June the Rhododendron Walks offer a spectacular stroll through a blaze of colour and close by is  the Bowood spa and golf complex.

The home of the Museum is the Old Schoolmaster's
House, built in 1846, which illustrates village life and work mainly from Victorian
times to the present day.

Anyone interested in tracing their family history back to Market Lavington is advised to contact the curator who is usually more than happy to assist.

The scarecrow trail through the lovely village of Urchfont is an extremely popular event in the local calendar.

You can return several times over the weekend and try to solve the names of the scarecrows, usually followind a particular theme
