The Green Dragon - The Pub

The Green dragon is all about old-fashioned values. We offer a range of Wadworth's finest ales, varied to include the seasonal specials to compliment the stalwarts - 6X and Henry's IPA.

We've also got a range of lagers, bottled beers, alcho-pops and a better than average range of soft drinks for the drivers and non-drinkers.

As you'd expect, this is all complemented by an extensive selection of fine wines and the usual - and some not quite so usual - spirits!

But we don't just want you to come and drink? Our kitchen is steadily gaining a well-deserved reputation as one of the finest in the area, and away from the immediate bar, large areas of the pub are set aside for non-smoking restaurant clientelle.

Our food offering is along the Traditional Pub Grub lines - with old favourites such as Gammon, Steaks and Scampi - along with changing daily specials, and a full take away menu. We offer a special Senior Citizens menu, and Children's menus.

And please don't just take our word for all this. We're a CAMRA favourite and for the last three years, we've been in the Good Beer Guide. We carry the Cask Marque, have the Morning Advertiser (MA) 2006 Award, the 'Taste of the West' Silver Award for 2006, the Wiltshire Food & Drink award - and are recognised by Ambling and Cyclist Associations as well as part of the Enjoy England scheme.

Outside, to the rear of our ample Car Park, we have a large Beer Garden, with extensive seating areas bounded by a Children's play area, a Pet's Corner and a Petangue pitch for our Boulles league.
